![]() To get video, go to the ‘H264’ tab of the Shark007 settings, select Use FFDshow's codec on the right, then check the set merit of ffdshow to 'Normal' option on the left. With that, we could open our files in Subtitle Workshop, and play them with sound, but there wasn’t any video. SubtitleWorkshop.exe should already be in the list to the right, but check to make sure it’s there anyway. In the Shark007 settings, under the Config tab, open the FFDshow DXVA config, and in the DirectShow control configuration, select the Use ffdshow only in: option. After installing a lot of video codecs that didn’t work, we tried Shark007’s codec pack, and with some configuration, we finally got our video files playing with no problems. ![]() VLC disagreed, so obviously, we were missing some codecs. ![]() ![]() We were trying to get Subtitle Workshop to play H.264-encoded MP4 and MKV files, but every time we opened one, it told us the file wasn’t valid. There’s precious little info out there about a lot of it, so here’s a bit more. Subtitling software is such a niche market. ![]()
